A power dialer built around the call nobody answers
Most of any call list does not pick up. Onyx is built for that reality rather than the demo where everyone answers on the second ring — it detects the machine, leaves your voicemail, and moves to the next number without you clicking anything.

Who it is for
Anyone whose job involves getting through a list of numbers. The problem is the same whatever is being sold, because the problem is not the pitch — it is that most of the day is spent on people who never pick up.
- Sales and SDR teams working outbound lists and follow-ups
- Real estate — circle prospecting, expireds, past clients
- Recruiting and staffing — candidate outreach at volume
- Agencies calling on behalf of clients, with numbers per campaign
- Collections and account management, where calling hours are not optional
- Insurance agents — quoted leads and renewals
Where the day actually goes
A rep working a list spends most of it on outcomes that are not conversations: answering machines, dead numbers, wrong numbers. Every one costs the same fifteen to thirty seconds of listening, deciding and clicking as a real call — and the cost is attention, not just time. The tenth voicemail of the morning is where anyone stops sounding like someone worth calling back.
So the useful question is not how fast a dialer dials. It is how much of the list it gets through without you.
What Onyx does about it
Answering-machine detection with automatic voicemail drop
When a machine picks up, Onyx recognises it, plays your pre-recorded voicemail after the beep, and advances. You are already talking to the next person while it finishes. The greeting is recorded once, so it never degrades across a long session the way a live one does.
Local-presence numbers
A call from a familiar area code is answered more often than one from across the country. Onyx matches a number to the region you are calling and rotates automatically, so no single number carries the whole day.
Live transcription and coaching, during the call
The call is transcribed as it happens. When an objection lands, the rebuttal is on screen while the sentence is still hanging — not in a report read next week. That is the difference between coaching and reporting: one changes the call you are on.
Parallel dialing with abandoned-call safety
Onyx can ring several lines at once and connect you to whoever answers first. The number of simultaneous lines is capped on purpose: dialing more lines than you can answer produces abandoned calls, and abandoned calls are both a bad experience and a regulatory problem.
It runs on the CRM you already have
Onyx is a Chrome extension. It appears over your existing CRM and dials the numbers already on the page — no migration, no second system to keep in sync, nothing for a team to relearn.
Compliance is not an add-on
Onyx enforces calling hours in the called party's timezone rather than yours — dialing across time zones at 6:30am local is the violation nobody notices until it is a claim. Do-not-call suppression runs before the dial, not after.
Recording notices are prepended where all-party consent applies. None of it is a switch a busy user can turn off to dial faster.
Common questions
Does it work with my CRM?
If your CRM runs in a browser and shows phone numbers on the page, yes. Onyx reads the numbers on screen rather than integrating with one vendor's API, so it is not limited to a list of supported systems.
Do I need my own phone system?
No. Calling, numbers and messaging are provisioned with the account.
Can I try it before paying?
A simulated session on the sign-in page runs entirely in your browser — no account, no calls placed. It shows the same interface reps use.
What happens to my call data?
Recordings, transcripts and dispositions belong to your account and export to CSV whenever you want them.
